So here are a few photos taken before entering Iran, when they visited the mount ararat

22.06 Diyarbakir- Batman - Kozluk - Tatvan - Ahlat - Ercis - Dogubayazit

Left 10h00 with 34 D C arrived 18h30 14 Dc (+/- 2.000 meters)
We rode the lake of Van by the north road, we have 120 km of wind and sand storm on a road being constructed, and then riding off-road for about 30 Km.

After the lake part we started to climb the mountain, kids for fun were throwing stones at us, fun isn't it !!!
On this last stretch arriving on the foot of the Mt Ararat, we had a military check point for passport, the soldier was speaking very good French, "cold" I said, he answered "today not too cold" (passing around 2.500 Mts).

Few Km after, just as we were coming out of a curve, we had a wonderfully surprising view of Mt Ararat, it's a beautiful mountain with it's 5.000+ meters. Actually the big and the small Ararat. Very very beautiful.

If you intend to come to this point, please be aware that Mt Ararat hiking require an authorization that takes about 45 days to get ... may be.
We rode to the famous City of Thousand and one Night with its castle (but can't get the name now)

I tell you that in june it's 13 degree, cold, so for the one thinking about half naked girls... that's not here. Also for the bible guys when you see the picture of the guy with long hair, walking down the Mt Ararat with the TEN COMMANDMENTS dressed in a light woolen dress, it's also not possible, sorry.
